This year marks our 2nd Annual Joy Gala – ROARING 20s CASINO NITE @ THE LYRIC THEATER!

   Our mission is to grow joy in the community by creating opportunities for neighbors to help neighbors. We provide emergency hardship assistance, homeless outreach and prevention services as well as ongoing support for youth, adults and seniors in our community. We partner with individuals, families and organizations to achieve our goals and are 100% volunteer based. Our Thrive Center currently houses our clothing pantry, furniture pantry, community kitchen, computer lab & classrooms. We are

installing ADA community showers and laundry facilities. We serve as a warming/cooling shelter, as well as host partnering programs such as AA, Sleep in Heavenly Peace Organization, free educational classes and clubs. We provide hot meals, fresh produce and pantry items to individuals and families in need. We are creating a ‘Second Home’ for members of our community to connect and take advantage of local support.  

    Since forming our 501c3 Charitable Organization in 2022 we have provided emergency support services, temporary housing, crisis intervention, youth & senior advocacy and distributed resources to hundreds of members of our community. We have gone from preparing meals for 200 members of our hungry community in a month, to serving 1000s in the community with POP UP fresh markets, pantry food, bag lunch delivery & hot meals. Throughout our work we have uncovered a huge need for free youth programming, as well as a growing epidemic of food insecurity and homelessness. We are working with HUD to create emergency housing solutions in the south suburbs.
